DETROIT—Local photographer Bob Oren's largely blacck and white photos will grace the walls of the Detroit Works Project's "HomeBase" in Eastern Market through June 8.
Photos from the exhibit include nostalgic images ranging from the now defunct Boblo Boat to onlookers hanging off the Comerica Park fence to get a view of an opening day game, memorable street corners, and more.
Images in the exhibition entitled, Detroit Streets Photography, "... encapsulate a slice of Detroit life by capturing the essence of people, buildings and events." According to a press release, the exhibit is part of DWP's Long Term Planning efforts to encourage Detroit stakeholders to view their city differently.
The 24-piece exhibit is free and open to the public, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, at 2929 Russel Street.
