Jeri is a recent transplant to Detroit after having spent five years in Ann Arbor. As a competitive figure skater and synchronized skater growing up, she was afforded the opportunity to travel abroad on many occasions, and quickly became enthralled with city design - particiularly how it relates to healthy and active living.
She went on to focus her studies and early career on how transportation, food access, the built environment, and neighborhoods impact population health and the environment. She is experienced in community health needs assessments, facilitation and program evaluation, and impact analysis. She looks forward to growing Mode Shift's advocacy and outreach initiatives to ensure Detroit and the Metro-Detroit region provide residents and visitors alike the opportunity to live healthy, productive lives.
Jeri holds a Bachelors in Exercise Science from Miami University and a Master of Public Health in Management and Policy from the University of Michigan.
